College to Career: In partnership with the R.I.S.E program at Queensborough Community College, Team QCC will implement a Career and Technical Education (CTE) component focusing on helping students explore various college majors and career fields. The R.I.S.E. program helps students succeed in their academic and career journey. Students visiting in-person will receive an overall campus tour and specifically visit the Nursing, Massage Therapy, Engineering Technologies, and Music Production departments. R.I.S.E. staff will present valuable academic and career exploration tips that students can begin applying NOW. Students will personally engage with college visit guides during the "Meet the Visit Guides" activity where they will hear personal stories and have an opportunity to chat about the middle, high school, and college experience. Remote visits for middle school students will include an ice-breaker game, campus tour, and college chat session. Remote visits for high school students will include a "Skills to be Successful in College" workshop.
